In the good old traditional way, The White Lion annual Guy Fawkes Night bonfire and Firework Display is getting ready to launch on Tuesday 5th November !! Depending upon weather and the crowds we aim to light the bonfire any time from 6ish and the fireworks once the bonfire has died down a little….. so come along and have another great evening at The Lion
If you have been before you KNOW it is a good display and this year we have purchased the largest and most expensive “aresenal” of fireworks that we have ever bought – so it should be pretty good if not “gooder” than usual !!! So DO NOT BE LATE as you wouldn#t want to miss this years display.
As always it is a FREE display with the proviso that you come along perhaps buy a burger and/or some chips and a few drinks from behind the bar or one of the stalls we operate selling bottles and sweets etc
Again as always I will be on patrol looking for the tight-wad complete-strangers who think they will park up in the fron trow of the car park for a free display in their car and munch through their sandwiches and drink from their flask they have brought with them – if YOU are one of those people PLEASE go somewhere else – and pay !!!!!
Finally if you are coming please make you way onto the patio area as viewing from the car park is discouraged as it is relatively unsafe and IF people refuse to vacate the car park the display may be interrupted until they move to the approved viewing area. – or go to another display !!!!!
